Dear educators working hard to teach fundamental human decency, history and visibility in the face of grave intimidation, it is with your temperaments guiding me that I created a short list for Shepherd.com of some of my favorite LGBTQ+ children's books in which no one gets bullied, based on research I did at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center.
I could only choose five, which was the hardest part, so I tried to select books that don't always get as much attention as the others. Read about them here.
